Welcome to the Link Secondary School. We are a small special school in which every one of our pupils is valued equally as an individual. Our well-qualified and dedicated staff work hard to enable our pupils to develop their different skills and abilities.
On 1st July 2017, the Link Secondary School converted to academy status and joined Orchard Hill College Academy Trust (OHCAT). OHCAT, together with Orchard Hill College, forms a family of specialist providers with a focus on pupils and students achieving their maximum potential within their local communities.
The Link Secondary School provides a calm and purposeful learning environment and we have high expectations of our pupils. Pupils are taught a secondary curriculum, and we offer a variety of accredited courses including functional skills, GCSEs, ASDAN and BTEC courses, and The Duke of Edinburgh Award. Learning is supported and complemented by the work of our speech and language, occupational, and creative therapists as well as our school counsellor.
We work in partnership with parents and carers, and with the wider community, to prepare our pupils for their future lives. The value of social and independence skills is recognised, and these are taught throughout the curriculum.
Visits to our school are encouraged and welcomed - we would be delighted to show you around our wonderful school.
